About The Artist
Jax Nation (he/they) was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. When Covid-19 hit the world, he dove head-first into creating visual art for the first time. Nation's art has developed over time to be a channel into his dreams and fears, directly amplified by his synesthesia. His work contains use of vivid, and often times gruesome imagery, that explores motifs of mental health and social complexities with a surrealist twist.
Nation's fascination with animal anatomy and medical topics has led him to currently work as an EMT. However, he is going back to school for his paramedic degree with dreams to become a flight medic. All that being said, art and creativity have always been a constant in his life and he hopes his art can spark conversation, joy, curiousity, or even a gentle fear in his viewers.
